New freight policy in effect February 21st 2022

Hydrofarm Canada will pay the freight on orders to main city centres that reach the required minimum. Depending on your region, the minimum order amount varies. Please note: shipping policy subject to change at any time.

Minimum Order Amounts for Prepaid Freight

• BC Lower Mainland: $550 (Please call for local delivery schedule)
• Vancouver Island & Sunshine Coast: $650
• Okanagan: $1300
• Kootenays: $1600
• Cariboo Region (100 Mile House, Williams Lake & Quesnel): $2150
• Prince George: $2150
• Yukon/NWT: Freight Quote Required
• Alberta (Major cities): $1750
• Saskatchewan & Manitoba (Major cities): $2300
• Ontario (South: Kitchener, London, GTA, Sarnia, Niagara, Windsor): $975
• Ontario (North: Thunder Bay, Sudbury, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie): $2100
• Ontario (East: Peterborough, Kingston, Ottawa): $1400
• Quebec (Major cities): $1500
• New Brunswick: $2000
• Nova Scotia/PEI: $2200
• Newfoundland: $2700

If your area is not listed or you are located in a remote area, please contact your representative for a freight quote. Please note: Minimum order amounts listed above are before taxes, fees and out of stock items. A fuel surcharge may be applied for your region.

Bulk Products

Soils, fertilizers, growing mediums and other large low value items will be processed with freight charges that are dependant on courier frieght rates at the time of shipping. These items are not included towards your free freight minimums. The quantity ordered and shipping location will impact the price of the item. To confirm pricing on bulk items please contact your representative.

Orders Below Minimum & Remote Locations

For orders below the prepaid minimum or outside city centres, Hydrofarm Canada can arrange freight and apply the cost to your invoice (prepay and charge). Orders can also be picked up, or you can arrange for your own freight company to pick up the order. To find out if there are prepay freight options to your location, contact your representative.

Will Call Policy (Pick Up Orders)

Pick up orders must be a minimum of $400. Orders can be picked up between 8am and 4pm. A restocking fee may be charged if order can’t be picked up on the scheduled/requested day.

Tailgate Fee

$50.00 tailgate fee

Above fees will be applied to your invoice.

Residential Addresses

Addresses deemed to be residential by our external carriers may be subject to a $75 surcharge. An agreement must be made prior to delivery including photos of access point(s) to possibly avoid this charge. This does not apply to customer arranged prepaid freight.
